Method #1: Use Microsoft’s Tool to Create Bootable USB

Since, Windows 7 Home Basic is in ISO image, convert it into an executable file first. For this purpose, I am using here Microsoft’s “Windows USB/DVD Download” tool.

Select “NTFS” from the drop-down menu to create a bootable disk for Windows 7 or XP.

Installation Guide

Reboot the system and select the option “Boot from CD/DVD.”
The system starts loading files.
Once it’s over, it will show you the main page. Select the language, Time and Currency format, Keyboard or input method and select “Next” to move ahead.
Now, you will see the option “Install Now.” Click this option to start the installation process.
Select “I accept the license terms” option here and click “Next.”
Here, select the installation type from Custom and Upgrade.
